Great Olympics head coach Annor Walker says he was determined to be in the history books with Great Olympics after dispatching Hearts of Oak twice in the league.
The Wonder Club silenced the Phobians with a emphatic 3-0 triumph on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in addition to the first leg victory which ended 1-0.
The back-to-back wins over Hearts of Oak was Great Olympics’ first in 53 years in the Ghana Premier League.
“It is history that I wanted to make because I heard it was over 40 years since Olympics were able to beat Hearts of Oak home and away. I told them [playing body] it is a history I want to break and make a history,” He told Broadcast right holder, Startimes.
The win has now increased their chances of finishing in the top four after moving to the 6 spot with 47 points – 2 points adrift of 4 placed Karela United.
