President John Mahama has pledged to support the Ghana Football Association (GFA) by providing dedicated funding for sports to address financial challenges.
The President made this vow while speaking at the Black Queens’ visit to the presidency after their bronze finish at the 2024 WAFCON.”I want to pledge our support to the Ghana FA, we will do everything we can to support you in the work you are doing… One of the last things we want to do is to get dedicated funding for sports. We will work to curb issues related to finances, per diem and team travels”.
This commitment aims to boost Ghana’s sports sector, particularly football, by ensuring stability and support for teams and athletes.
Mahama’s promise is expected to positively impact the development of sports in Ghana, enabling the GFA to drive progress and success.
