Ghana head coach, Chris Hughton says he should be blamed for the poor performance of the Black Stars at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The Black Stars at the ongoing AFCON in Ivory Coast competed in Group B at the group stages.

The Ghana national team in all three matches failed to impress and could not win a single match.

In their final Group B game, the Black Stars of Ghana locked horns with Mozambique on Monday night.

Despite leading by two goals in the 90th minute, Ghana conceded two late goals and drew 2-2 2 with Mozambique.

Speaking after the game, Coach Chris Hughton said he takes responsibility for the poor Black Stars performance.

“I take responsibility for this Performance and admit my results with the Black Stars have not been good enough,” the Ghana coach said.

The draw with Mozambique means Ghana missed out on automatic qualification to the knockout stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
