Asante Kotoko’s new signing, Hubert Gyau, has compared his playing style to that of Vitinha, the Paris Saint-Germain and Portugal midfielder.
The 20-year-old joined Kotoko from Berekum Chelsea after an impressive 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, where he emerged as one of the league’s most promising midfielders.
Gyau has been impressive in the top flight since breaking into the league at 18, featuring in 39 matches across two seasons.
“I see my style of play akin to that of PSG’s Vitinha,” Gyau said. “I will plead with the fans to keep supporting, and I will also do my best for the team.”
Kotoko expect Gyau to bring depth and creativity to their midfield as they prepare for the Ghana Premier League and CAF Confederation Cup.
Gyau is set to report for pre-season training in Kumasi later this month as Kotoko continues to strengthen their squad.
