New Bibiani GoldStars winger Emmanuel Agyenim Boateng has boldly likened his playing style to that of Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal, after sealing a three-year move from Tanzanian side Pamba Jiji FC.
The 26-year-old, who previously featured for Bofoakwa Tano, was unveiled by the Ghana Premier League champions ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign.
In his first interview with the club, Boateng didn’t hold back on the confidence.
“I am a right winger – what we call the ‘Lamine Yamal position.’ I play like Lamine Yamal,” he told the club’s media team.
“I was very happy to get such a call to join the league champions.”
Boateng is one of several new additions at GoldStars this summer, joining Barimah Baah and Emmanuel Kontor as part of the club’s squad strengthening for both domestic and continental duties.
