Andre Ayew bid an emotional farewell to Le Havre after two successful seasons in Ligue 1, helping the club maintain its top-flight status.
“The time to say goodbye has arrived,” Ayew wrote on social media. He expressed gratitude to the club, its directors, staff, and players for their support during his tenure.
“Two retentions later, with the feeling of duty accomplished, I would like to thank the club, its directors, the staff, all the daily employees, and of course, my teammates: thank you for the efforts, the highlights, the solidarity and the respect,” he said.
Ayew also thanked the people of Le Havre for their unwavering support.
“Thank you for your support, your fervor, your high standards too. Thank you for the energy in the good times as well as in the hardest. You are the soul of this club, and you carried me. I pass the baton with pride. Never give up, always move forward. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
Ayew is currently a free agent, having previously played for Marseille and Lorient in Ligue 1.
