Coach Otto Addo has opened up on why he resigned from the Black Stars job after Ghana exit from the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Addo tendered his resignation after Uruguay defeated Ghana by 2-0 on Friday afternoon.
He took the job on a six-month deal, having already been attached to Dortmund as a talent scout.
In a press briefing, the 47-year-old said the decision to step down is to continue his job with the Bundesliga giants.
“It has not got to do with the outcome of the result. It would have ended if we were world champions. I have to respect the contract. I have to respect the club I am working for.”
“Surely maybe one day I will get the chance to work with the GFA again but for the next two and half years, I have a contract with Dortmund and I have to respect that.” He added
Coach Otto Addo took over from Milo after Ghana exited the 2021 AFCON which was held in Cameroon back in January.
