I have enjoyed working with Alhaji Akanbi and Vincent Sowah Odotei – Hearts of Oak board chairman

Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV says he has enjoyed working with Alhaji Akanbi and Vincent Sowah Odotei, who are part of the board.

The pair have come under intense pressure following the club’s elimination from the CAF Confederations Cup.

Hearts of Oak despite their narrow 1-0 win in the second leg tie failed to progress to end the game on a 3-1 goal aggregate in favor of the Malian side.

Supporters after the game demanded the dismissal of the pair but Togbe insists the pair are the most hardworking people.

“I have enjoyed working with them because they bring the three things that I want to see in any colleague worker,” Togbe said at a presser on Wednesday. “Hard work, hard work is very important, as capability and most importantly, honesty and integrity.

“If anybody has any evidence that any of them has squandered our money, they should bring it.

“I have worked with many people across industries, across countries, there are not many like these two people,” he added.

Hearts of Oak now turn the attention to the Ghana Premier League where they sit 13th on the league log with just two points after three games played.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak have appointed Serbian trainer, Slavko Matic as Samuel Boadu’s replacement on a two-year deal.
