Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has showered praise on promising midfielder, Kobbie Mainoo.
The 18-year-old has earned praise from legends of the club and pundits due to his impressive performances in the ongoing season.
He netted a stunning winner in a dramatic 4-3 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers and also scored in a 4-2 victory over Newport County in the FA Cup.
Mainoo over the weekend at Old Trafford produced another masterclass performance as Manchester United recorded a 2-0 win.
Speaking after the game, Ferdinand who is a club legend lauded the midfielder and added that he enjoys watching him.
“I enjoy watching him,” he told TNT Sports.
“Our eyes are always looking out for that next young player, and it’s that calmness and assuredness he has which is beyond his years,” he added.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) have expressed their interest in luring the promising midfielder to play for the Black Stars.
