Kwame Opoku has played down talks of being the ‘best striker’ in the Ghana Premier League despite his efficiency in front of goal.
After making a return to Kotoko at the turn of the year, Opoku has been mesmerising for Kotoko, not least bagging a brace in his last game against Dreams FC.
After 16 games, Opoku has scored 9 goals for Kotoko.
Since his arrival, no other Kotoko player has outscored him. His goals have been vital for Kotoko, placing them firmly in the title race.
Despite his exploits, Opoku believes he still falls short of bearing the ‘best striker’ in the Ghana Premier League tag.
“I believe there are other players who will do more than I am when given the opportunity. I don’t think I’m the best striker [in the Ghana Premier League,” he told Max TV.
Opoku made this revelation as he prepares to join the Black Stars in London for the Unity Cup.
