Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Razak Abalora has reiterated his “ever” readiness to play for the Black Stars when given the opportunity.
Abalora earned his first cap for Ghana on 19th, October, 2019 in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifying matches against South Africa and São Tomé and Príncipe.
But he was sidelined subsequently by then coach CK Akonnor after a catalogue of mistakes and has since not received a call-up.
Speaking on Akoma FM, Abalora said, “For Black Stars, we all have the right to play for the national team depending on your performance and that has been the hall mark. I am doing my best and I am ever ready for Black Stars when the chance comes,”.
The 25-year-old currently plies his trade with Moldovan side Sheriff Tiraspol in Europe.
Abalora kept a clean sheet on his debut in the UEFA Champions League playoffs against Bosnian champions HSK Zrinjski Mostar as the match ended goalless.
