Hull City have agreed a deal to sign 21-year-old forward Ilyas Ansah from German Bundesliga club Union Berlin, with the transfer expected to be completed once the necessary paperwork has been exchanged.

The proposed move is understood to involve a package worth more than €20m for Ansah, who has established himself as one of Union Berlin’s promising young attacking players. Hull City are now preparing to take the forward to England as they strengthen their options in attack.

Paperwork for the transfer is expected to begin being exchanged today. Once that process has been completed, Hull City will be able to formally confirm the signing.

Ansah’s move marks a significant step in his career, with the 21-year-old set to leave Union Berlin and continue his development in English football. His arrival will provide Hull City with another attacking option and represents a major investment in a player regarded highly by his German club.

Although an agreement has been reached between the two clubs, the transfer has not yet been officially confirmed. The final administrative stages must be completed before the deal can be announced as concluded.

The value of the agreement, which is reported to exceed €20m, underlines Hull City’s commitment to adding quality to their forward line. Ansah is the latest player to be identified as part of the club’s efforts to improve their attacking resources.

Union Berlin are now expected to complete the formalities required for Ansah’s departure, while Hull City await the conclusion of the documentation process. The exchange of paperwork is the remaining step before the transfer can be confirmed.

Ansah has been viewed at Union Berlin as one of the club’s more promising young forwards. His next challenge will come in England, where he is set to continue his career with Hull City after the clubs reached an agreement over his transfer.

The deal remains subject to the completion of the paperwork, but Hull City have secured an agreement in principle to bring the forward to the club. If the final stage proceeds as expected, Ansah will become a Hull City player following the completion of the transfer from Union Berlin.
