Renowned football agent Jennifer Mendelewitsch has revealed that the Ghanaian football prodigy, Mohammed Kudus, was dissatisfied with his previous agency before enlisting her services.
Under Mendelewitsch’s expert guidance, Kudus has experienced significant growth in his career, establishing himself as one of Ghana’s most promising talents.
In an interview with RMC, Mendelewitsch shared the story of how Mohammed Aminu introduced the frustrated Kudus to her.
Aminu, another Ghanaian player who was with Manchester City at the time, played a pivotal role in connecting Mendelewitsch with Kudus.
Mendelewitsch admitted that she had not been closely following the Danish championship where Kudus played. However, after learning about Kudus’s situation, she met him in Paris and subsequently in Denmark.
“He explained his situation to me, that he was contracted to a big well-known English agency and that he was not happy about the way the agency was treating him and his career and future transfer.
“In fact, Kudus was simply demanding transparency, that was really his criterion. He needed to know what was going on, like which clubs are really interested, who makes an offer…
“And above all, he is a player who is extremely independent and who needs to know they are in control of their situation…
“I’m not going to denigrate his agency but they can be good when you’re the star player or one of the star players. But back then, Kudus was a young Ghanaian golden boy coming off a very big season.”
Mendelewitsch brokered Kudus’ £38million move from Ajax to West Ham during the summer transfer window.
