Newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Hohoe United FC have signed Division One’s most feared forwards, Adamu Alhassan, popularly known as “Conso.”
The 25-year-old striker, a native of Elmina in the Central Region, joins on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee, becoming the Volta-based club’s marquee signing ahead of their maiden top-flight campaign.
Alhassan’s rise is a story of resilience and raw talent. Growing up in a modest community outside Elmina, his football ability earned him a scholarship through the KEEA Constituency to attend Aggrey Memorial High School.
There, he flourished, captaining the Central Regional team to victory in the 2018 Inter-Regional Championship in Cape Coast and claiming the Golden Boot.
His consistent performances and flair on the pitch earned him the nickname “Conso” among fans in Cape Coast and Elmina.
For Hohoe United, securing Alhassan is more than just a transfer; it’s a statement of ambition. The club is determined not only to survive in the top flight but to compete with established sides. With his goal-scoring record, leadership qualities, and international exposure, “Conso” is expected to spearhead their attack.
Club insiders have described the deal as “strategic and forward-looking,” with Alhassan tipped to be central to their plans.
