Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo as an unstoppable goal machine with extreme focus finding the back of the net.
The two first crossed paths during the 2014/15 La Liga season when Partey’s Almeria side faced Real Madrid.
Almeria lost both encounters, but those matches left a lasting impression on Partey.
In an interview with Kafui Dey, the Arsenal man reflected on Ronaldo’s relentless scoring drive.
“Yes, [I played against Ronaldo] when I was in Almeria.
“I think he is a machine who is focused on goals; he only wants to score.”
Partey highlighted how Real Madrid’s efficiency, especially through Ronaldo, made them hard to beat.
“When you play against Madrid, you enjoy the game more than you play against Barcelona; you still lose anyway,” he added.
“You can dominate all you want, but they get the ball and feed Ronaldo and boom, they score.”
