Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum, has called for calm and concentration as the Black Stars prepare to face the Central African Republic in their penultimate 2026 World Cup qualifier.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Henry cautioned against complacency despite Ghana’s strong position in Group I.
The Black Stars currently lead the group with 19 points and need just four more to secure automatic qualification for next year’s global showpiece.
“There is a singular objective and sometimes we have to be careful in situations like this,” he said.
“When you think you’re almost there, you just work for it. Our primary objective is that, on Wednesday, to pick up victory.”
“We will fight for the points for ourselves.”
The national team is currently camping in Morocco ahead of the crucial fixture on October 8, before returning home to face Comoros four days later in Accra.
