Hearts of Oak have confirmed the signing of highly-rated defender Baba Adamu from Golden Kick on a three-year contract.
The 21-year-old centre-back, known for his left foot, composure, and commanding presence, was one of the standout performers in the just-ended season.
His impressive run with Golden Kick, especially during their MTN FA Cup campaign that ended with a final against Kotoko, caught the attention of the Phobians.
“This is a dream come true,” an emotional Adamu said after signing. “I grew up supporting Hearts, and my father is a staunch Phobian. I know it won’t be easy, but I’m ready for the challenge.”
Adamu becomes the latest piece in Coach Didi Dramani’s rebuild ahead of the 2025/26 season.
From grassroots football in Kpando and Paga United to Golden Kick, the young defender is now set to live out his childhood dream; wearing the rainbow jersey at Accra Sports Stadium.
