Hearts of oak have launched an audacious bid to land Asante Kotoko duo Daniel Nii Adjei and Awal Mohammed.
The former African Champions have written a formal proposal to their sworn rivals to enquire about the availability of the two players; just days after Kotoko tabled a formal bid for the services of Hearts prolific striker Mahatma Otoo.
It’s believed Hearts decision to test Kotoko’s resolve of the two experienced players is meant to rub their face on their pursuit of their star striker.
“We have written a letter to them (Kotoko) that we want Awal Mohammed and Daniel Nii Adjei,†management member Aziz Haruna Futah told Kumasi-based Fox FM
“We are the champions club of Ghana. We have won the Confederation Cup, we have won the Caf Champions League and the Super Cup.
“And that is why we want these players so that will get medal. They will not win any medal with Kotoko and so when they come to Hearts, they will get medals before they retire.
“We have money than any team in Ghana and so we can meet their asking prize.â€
Adjei was crowned the Best Player of the Premier League while Mohammed was adjudged the Best Defender.
