Accra Hearts of Oak has concluded a high-intensity, four-day pre-season training camp at the Military Combat Training School in Teshie, marking a unique and strategic phase of their preparations for the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.
The training camp, spearheaded by the club’s technical team, was designed to push players beyond their comfort zones — sharpening their mental fortitude, resilience, and endurance through a series of physically demanding military drills.
Under the strict guidance of seasoned military instructors, the Phobians were put through their paces, enduring tough routines that tested their discipline, teamwork, and determination. According to the trainers, the players showed admirable spirit and commitment throughout the sessions.
Head coach Didi Dramani expressed satisfaction with the results of the camp, noting that the objectives were fully met. “We wanted to challenge the players in an unfamiliar environment — to build grit and mental toughness. I’m happy with how the team responded. It was exactly what we needed at this stage of our pre-season,” he said.
Having completed this intense phase, Hearts of Oak will now shift their focus back to football-specific preparations at their Kpobiman base, as they fine-tune tactics and fitness ahead of the 2025/26 league campaign.
