Hearts of Oak will reclaim lost glory – Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak’s head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has expressed his belief that the club remains one of the continent’s giants and is determined to restore its former glory.

Ouattara, hailing from Ivory Coast, secured his debut victory as the team’s coach with an impressive 3-0 triumph over Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.

Goals from Hamza Issa (2) and Enoch Asubonteng sealed a convincing victory.

When questioned about Hearts of Oak’s stature in Ghana, Ouattara boldly declared, “Not just in Ghana, but one of the biggest clubs in Africa.

However, some are undermining the team’s legacy.” He emphasized his disdain for performances or attitudes that fall short of the club’s esteemed standards, insisting that only through diligent effort can they revive their former glories.”

Currently positioned ninth on the league standings with 24 points, Hearts of Oak trails five points behind fourth place.

Looking ahead, the Phobians are gearing up to face Nsoatreman FC in their upcoming matchday 19 fixture at the Nana Koromansa II Park on Sunday.
