Hearts of Oak sever ties with defender Mohammed Alhassan

Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak have officially parted ways with experienced defender Mohammed Alhassan.

The club before the end of 2022 informed the player to look for a new club as his services were no longer needed.

While the player is yet to find a new club, Hearts of Oak from the information gathered from sources has released Mohammed Alhassan.

The highly-rated centre-back is leaving the capital-based club after spending almost five years at the club.

“With reference to the mutual termination of the employment contract agreement between the player (Mohammed Alhassan) and the club; The player is free to join any club of his choice,” a portion of the letter sent to the player and intercepted by GHANAsoccernet.com reads.

Mohammed Alhassan, 30, signed for Hearts of Oak in December 2018 and gradually established himself as a key player for the club.

He formerly played for WAFA SC where he made a name for himself as a top defender.

At Hearts of Oak, the defender helped the Phobians to win the Ghana Premier League title two seasons ago.

He was also instrumental for the club in the back-to-back MTN FA Cup wins in the last two seasons.
