After six years of service, Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak have released goalkeeper Richmond Ayi.

He joined the Accra-based club in November 2018 from WAFA but has struggled for game time in recent months.

Meanwhile, Ayi is seeking settlement of his salary through the Players Status Committee, resulting in a six-month salary compensation package.

Ayi played a crucial role in the Phobians’ historic treble-winning campaign in 2021.
