Hearts of Oak new coach Slavko Matic wants to play attractive football

Newly appointed Hearts of Oak coach Slavko Matic has set sights on playing attractive football in bid to win more trophies at the club.

The 46-year-old replaces Samuel Boadu who parted ways with the Phobians ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers against AS Real Bamako on a two-year deal.

Matic will work with David Ocloo as his assistant coach. He will also work with Richard Oppong (Goalkeeper’s trainer), Samuel Nii Noi (Youth Team Coach), and Enock Jordan Daitey (Fitness coach).

“We will also want to find a way to play good football in order to give every player the opportunity to play and to showcase their talent,” Slavko Matic said at his unveiling.

He added, “I am really grateful to the Board Chairman and the rest of the management members for the opportunity. Africa is a big challenge and Hearts of Oak is a big club and I want to make a big impact here.”

Matic holds a UEFA Pro Licence and has vast experience having managed clubs in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
