Midfielder Frederick Ansah Botchway has been spotted training with Hearts of Oak on Friday morning amid uncertainty over his future.
The Phobians earlier declared the Ansah together with five other players as surplus to requirement.
Despite the announcement, Hearts have been reluctant to hand the 25-year-old his release letter.
In spite of lack of clarity over his future, Ansah returned to the club’s training grounds ahead of the new league season scheduled to start in September.
It appears the player will exhaust his five-month contract to join a club of preference for free.
Samartex FC are believed to be the front runners for the signature of the former Liberty Professional midfielder.
