Hearts of Oak legend Mohammed Ahmed Polo believes that the appointment of Didi Dramani as head coach doesn’t guarantee the club’s success.
Dramani, a former Black Stars assistant coach, has been appointed on a two-year deal to lead the team into the 2025/26 season.
Despite his impressive record with Asante Kotoko, including two Premier League titles and an FA Cup, Polo is skeptical about the impact of the appointment.
Polo cited the example of Aboubakar Ouattara, the outgoing coach who nearly led the team to relegation and failed to win any trophies in his second season.
“Didi Dramani’s appointment doesn’t guarantee success. What is he coming to do?” Polo questioned while speaking on Sporty FM.
“Now Didi Dramani is coming, but that doesn’t guarantee success until the right thing is done. “Hearts of Oak have reassigned Ouattara to serve as Special Advisor to the Board of Directors.
The club faces challenges, including a transfer ban, and Polo’s comments suggest that more needs to be done to ensure success under Dramani’s leadership
