The Phobians dominated the match from the onset, with Kwabena Boateng scoring the opening goal with a composed finish following a well-executed team move.
Zilina Africa fought back, earning a penalty midway through the game, which they converted to level the score at 1-1.
The first half ended in a draw, but Hearts of Oak took control in the second half.
Mawuli Wayo headed in a corner kick shortly after the restart to make it 2-1, and Karikari sealed the win with a stunning free kick, scoring the team’s third goal.
