However, a strong finish from Hearts of Oak saw them overcome Accra Lions.
Kwesi Asmah restored the Phobians’ advantage before the result was put beyond doubt when Hamza Issah got in on the act.
The win puts Hearts of Oak two points behind fierce rivals Kotoko, who are fourth, while Lions linger in the relegation zone with two games to end the season.
