Trainer of Hearts of Oak , Aboubakar Ouattara, has confirmed that defender Denis Nkrumah Korsah will not be part of the team for the upcoming season.
Korsah was absent during the Phobians’ victory against Heart of Lions in the 2024 Gbese Mantse Homowo Charity Peace Cup on Sunday.
Ouattara explained that Korsah’s exclusion is part of the team’s new strategy, emphasizing that individual names are not a priority. “We’re in a new era, and it’s about implementing a strategy that fits everyone,” he said. “Michael Ampadu was injured, but Korsah is no longer with us.”
Korsah joined Hearts of Oak in 2022 from Ebusua Dwarfs and played a crucial role in the team’s success, including winning the FA Cup and President Cup in 2022.
His impressive performances earned him a maiden call-up to the Ghana national team in 2022.
The 28-year-old will now seek a new club before the Ghana Premier League season begins September 6.
