Hearts of Oak head coach Slavko Matic has reflected on his side’s hard-fought victory against Kotoku Royals in the betPawa Premier League on Saturday.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh’s solitary strike from the penalty spot was the difference between the sides at the Cape Coast Stadium as Hearts secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Coach Matic admitted his side can improve on their performance but was happy with the final result.
“We must play more with the ball like we did in the first half. We created more chances in the second half but we sat back a little we should have changed the system and formation but we did what is necessary for the team”.
“We did what is good which is to keep a clean sheet, but for a better performance for the team, I think we should run more with the ball.”
The result sees Hearts of Oak move up to 7th on the league table.
