Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are set to battle for the signature of Medeama SC’s highly-rated right-back, Kamaradini Mamudu, ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Local transfer expert Mo Shabaan reports that both clubs have expressed strong interest in the 24-year-old, who enjoyed a standout season with the Yellow and Mauves.
Known for his balance between defensive discipline and attacking support, Mamudu has become one of the most consistent full-backs in the league.
Both clubs are in need of defensive reinforcements after underwhelming campaigns, and Mamudu is seen as a key target to strengthen their backlines. Though no official offer has been tabled yet, sources close to the player say initial contact has been made.
Medeama are expected to demand a significant fee, especially with Mamudu still under contract for another year and amid growing interest from other clubs.
Hearts, now under coach Aboubakar Ouattara, are looking to rebuild after a disappointing finish, while Kotoko, led by interim boss Karim Zito, are equally eager to reassert their dominance in the domestic league.
The coming weeks will be crucial as both sides prepare their bids in what could be one of the biggest local transfer battles of the off-season.
