Hearts hero Caleb Amankwah reveals how he stopped Augustine Okrah in FA Cup final [Pure FM] —

Hearts of Oak defender Caleb Amankwah has revealed he frustrated Bechem United talisman Augustine Okrah in the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup final.

The Phobians crawled from behind to claim a 2-1 victory as the capital club booked their 12th Cup trophy in a scintillating final at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.

Okrah, 24, enjoyed a flourishing season with the Hunters after netting 14 times in 32 games and earning a Black Stars call-up in the process.

Bechem put themselves in the lead when Okrah fired a fierce drive at the Phobians’ goal causing Richmond Ayi to spill the ball. Avornyo arrived in time to fire the ball into the net to register the opener.

However, it took Amankwah to restore parity for Hearts when he smashed the ball home from a Samuel Inkoom cut-back cross just before the interval.

Okrah, who is a former Asante Kotoko winger, was sent off by referee Latif Adaari for head-butting assistant referee one, reducing the Bechem to 10 men.

Despite that, Amankwah reveals in an interview with Kumasi-based Pure FM that the winger was difficult to handle.

“Tackling Augustine Okrah is not easy. He is very fast. I frustrated him in the game whenever he comes to the middle,” he told Kumasi-based Pure FM.
