Hearts of Oak’s clash with Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League will also serve as the President Cup, according to Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA).
The cup organizers announced the decision on social media and added the President, Nana Akufo-Addo will be in attendance to watch the match at the Sports Stadium on March 5.
Hearts of Oak defeated rivals Kotoko 2–1 to win the last edition of the trophy in 2022.
This year’s winner will take home GHC50,000 and the runner up will pocket GHC30,000.
Penalty shootout will decide the winner, should the tie end in a draw.
