Heart of Lions finally ended their eight-game winless run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Eleven Wonders at the Kpando Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Ishmael Addo’s 32nd-minute strike proved decisive, giving coach Bashiru Hayford some breathing space and lifting the spirits of the Kpando-based side. The win also completed the double over Eleven Wonders this season, deepening the woes of the bottom-placed visitors.
The result moves Lions into 7th place on 27 points, while Eleven Wonders remain rooted to the league basement. Lions will aim to build on this momentum when they face Bechem United next, whereas Wonders will need a positive response at home against Hearts of Oak to stop the slump.
