Head coach of Kpando Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford, has admitted his players are battling fatigue ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League clash against Young Apostles on Sunday, May 25 at 15:00 GMT in Wenchi.
Currently third on the league table and in strong contention for the 2024/2025 title, the Lions face a tough task as they hit the road again just days after a taxing goalless draw against Basake Holy Stars in Ayinase.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, Hayford expressed concerns over the demanding travel schedule and its effect on his squad.
“After coming from Nzema Ayinase, straight we are going back to Wenchi,” he said. “The boys are tired; there is fatigue amongst them but we are working on that. Preparation has been the same, only that we are managing their fatigue levels so they can play on Sunday.”
Despite the challenges, Hayford remains focused on getting a result as the title race heats up in the final stretch of the season.
