Hamburger SV manager Merlin Polzin is delighted to have Ghanaian striker Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer back in the team after his failed move to OGC Nice.
“I feel sorry for him,” Polzin said, acknowledging the disappointment.
However, he revealed that he is pleased that Konigsdorffer is handling the situation professionally.
“At first, there’s some disappointment, which is completely human. But – he’s back in our team and a true professional.”
Polzin values their close relationship and is looking forward to Konigsdorffer’s contributions.
“I’m happy to have Ransford back. He takes life as it comes.” Konigsdorffer will rejoin his teammates for pre-season training, and Polzin expects him to play a key role in the upcoming season.
Konigsdorffer was instrumental in helping HSV secure promotion to the Bundesliga last season, scoring 14 goals in 30 matches.
