Guardiola responds to Erling Haaland rumors

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has responded to rumors linking striker Erling Haaland to Manchester City.

Haaland’s father Alf-Inge played for City previously and there have been reports that his son is keen on moving to the Etihad according to Guardiola ahead of their clash against Brighton on Wednesday, he had no answer to such links.

“No answer to your question. I have another concern in my head to think what will happen in this club next season,” Guardiola said.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has reported that City and Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola has started negotiations on the player but no official approach has been tabled just yet to Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland has a release clause on his contract that City is willing to meet as they fight with a host of clubs across Europe for the signature of the Norwegian who is currently one of the best strikers in world football.
