Great Olympics director Fred Pappoe fears the ongoing feud between the club’s chief executive and the coach could hamper the team’s progress.
The pair have been at each other’s throat with the Chief Executive David Fuga demanding the dismissal of coach Walter Yankah for non-performance.
Coach Yankah also hit back by labeling the CEO drunkard but Pappoe reckons it’s about time a cease fire is reached in the supreme interest of the club.
“Obviously I would say the club doesn’t need this kind of situation now,†he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.
“It is most unfortunate that the two gentlemen who are very key to the fortunes of the club will be at each others throat at this point in time.
“I believe the Board Chairman and the rest of the directors would have to intervene immediately to put a halt to this unfortunate situation.
“I am sure by the end of this week the issue would have been brought under control so that the boys will have their focus to ensure we finish in a good position by the end of this season.â€
The former Premier League campaigners have struggled for consistency this term in the National Division One League where they risk being relegated to the country’s third-tier league.
They have amassed a paltry 11 points from 9 games and lie just a point above the relegation zone.
