In a clash that promised much excitement but ended in a stalemate, the Great Olympics coach, Annor Walker, finds himself grappling with disappointment following their goalless draw against city rivals, Hearts of Oak.
The encounter doubling as the compelling opener for matchday 16 of the Ghana Premier League, unfolded under the floodlights at the Baba Yara Stadium on a Friday evening.
The fixture, originally slated to be played in Accra, was relocated to Kumasi due to the unavailability of the Accra Sports Stadium, setting the stage for an enthralling encounter between two fierce adversaries. However, despite the charged atmosphere and numerous goal-scoring opportunities, both teams ultimately had to settle for a share of the spoils.
The Dade Boys’ performance extends a concerning trend, marking their sixth consecutive match without a victory. This encounter, resulting in a second consecutive goalless draw, has clearly left Coach Annor Walker dissatisfied and disheartened.
“I will say I’m not happy with the second draw that I’ve had this afternoon or this evening. Seriously, I’m really disappointed as a coach for my boys,” he said.
Accra Great Olympics will play Real Tamale United in their next league game.
