Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has praised Asante Kotoko and Golden Kick FC for their thrilling performance in the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup final.
Kotoko won the title with a 2-1 victory, thanks to Kwame Opoku’s brace, including a penalty in the final minute.
“Great final yesterday with all the key ingredients!!! Kudos to the two teams, the MTN FA Cup committee and everyone who made this final a special one!!! Special!!!!” Okraku posted on Facebook.
The win marks Kotoko’s 11th FA Cup title, and they will now represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
Under coach Karim Zito, the Porcupine Warriors aim to make a strong return to Africa after missing the continental championship in the past three seasons.
Zito, who led Dreams FC to the semi-final of the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2023/24 season, will look to replicate that success with Kotoko.
