Vision FC head coach, Nana Kwaku Agyemang, believes the Ghana Premier League lacks tactical depth, which is contributing to growing concerns about the league’s competitiveness.
In an interview with Kessben FM, Agyemang said most clubs in the top-flight do not show clear playing styles, which is affecting how the league is perceived by fans and football analysts.
“I think the Ghana Premier League is not competitive enough.”
“Tactically, you will get a lot of clubs playing a similar style of football. We just run with the ball and score goals, that’s all, there is no tactical plan the teams display, so it’s very difficult to pick a club in Ghana and study their plan or style of play,” Agyemang told Kessben FM.
“It’s up to us as coaches to change things. The standard has dropped compared to previous years, and we must improve the quality to make the league attractive again,” he added.
Vision FC, who are battling to avoid relegation, currently sit 14th on the GPL table with 33 points. They face Young Apostles in a crucial Matchweek 31 clash on Sunday, 18 May.
