GoldStars are Ghana Premier League champions after beating Accra Lions on the final day of the 38-game league season.
Heading into the final day of the season on Sunday, GoldStars and Nations FC were locked on 60 points.
A slip up at the Dun’s park for GoldStars and a win for Nations would have meant the Kumasi Based club would have secured the title.
Rather it was GoldStars who started the quickest of the two sides with Abdul Farouk finishing from close range after four minutes.
Kelvin Oppong doubled the home sides advantage inside 18 minutes when he placed his effort into a gaping goal.
GoldStars continued their dominance in the second half with two goals to seal the title.
The win means for the first time ever GoldStars have won the league after four seasons in Ghana’s top flight.
