Bibiani GoldStars are searching for a new head coach following the dismissal of Frimpong Manso, who was sacked after the team’s 2-0 home defeat to Algerian side JS Kabylie in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Communications Director Samuel Kwagyire confirmed that former Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu is among those under consideration.
“Management is on it to make sure that at the end of the day, they make a firm decision as to who is to take over from Coach Frimpong Manso,” he told LUV FM.
Kwagyire added that the club will not rush its decision, noting that the choice must align with their long-term vision.
“The coach that fits into the future business plan of the team… Coach Maxwell, whose name has been mentioned, but then also several coaches whose names are also on the table,” he said.
For now, assistant coach Nana Yaw Amankwah will take charge of the squad as they prepare for the decisive second-leg clash against JS Kabylie in Algeria this weekend.
GoldStars are scheduled to leave on Friday for the trip.
