Goalkeeper Abdoulaye Soulama has agreed to a new two-year deal at Asante Kotoko, according to Metro941.com.

The Burkina Faso international agreed to the new deal on Friday and will take his mandatory medical over the weekend.

The 33-year-old became a free agent following the expiration of his contract at the end of last season.

Reports were rife the former ASFA Yennega shot-stopper was set to leave after spending five years with the Ghana Premier League champions.

Soulama who returned from his native Burkina Faso on Wednesday has now agreed to stay with Kotoko for a further two years.

The experienced goalkeeper will now take a medical at Kotoko over the weekend before travelling to Tamale to join the team in pre-season camp.
