Black Stars goalkeeper, Jojo Wollacott made an injury return as Charlton Athletic U-21s claimed a 2-1 triumph over AFC Bournemouth in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old had been on the sidelines since since November 2022 after he suffered a broken finger.

He was in a strong position to be named as the starting goalkeeper for Ghana, but the injury ruled him out of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Wollacott played a crucial role in helping the Black Stars qualify for the tournament for the fourth time. He made crucial saves in the final eliminator against Nigeria in Abuja.

The shot-stopper is expected to get more minutes under his belt ahead of a first team football appearance.
