Ghanaian goalie Eric Ofori Antwi has confirmed his departure from Accra Hearts of Oak following mutual understanding with the club.

In a heartfelt statement on social media, Antwi expressed his gratitude to the club, fans, teammates, and the entire Phobia family for their unwavering support throughout his time with the team.

“After mutual discussions, my journey with Hearts of Oak has come to an end. It has been an absolute honor to wear the jersey of one of the biggest clubs in Ghana.

“Through the highs and lows, I am grateful to my family, fans, teammates, and the entire Phobia family for the unwavering support.”

Eric moved to the Phobians from Legon Cities in 2022 but his stay with the club has been characterized with injuries.

During his tenure with Hearts of Oak, he made 15 appearances, keeping five clean sheets and earning four MVP awards.

The former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper has represented Ghana at various levels, including the U-20, U-23, Black Galaxies, and the senior national team, the Black Stars.
