Assistant coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Abdul Rahim Bashiru, has pinpointed goal scoring as the primary issue troubling the team, following their Week 28 Ghana Premier League fixture against Accra Lions on Wednesday.
The Phobians endured a 1-0 defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium which was their fourth defeat in five games.
Ibrahim Issah’s strike in the 56th minute was decisive as Lions took all three points on the road.
“Our main problem is goal scoring, something we’ve consistently faced. In training, they perform well, but there’s a discrepancy in matches. We need to analyze and rectify this,” expressed the Hearts of Oak assistant coach to StarTimes.
Following the defeat, Hearts of Oak now sits 12th in the league standings with 32 points after 28 matches.
Their next challenge will be against Berekum Chelsea in their upcoming Ghana Premier League fixture.
