The son of the legendary Abedi Ayew has been in bullish mood in the Ghana camp and has been talking up his ability to influence the outcome of Ghana’s crucial World Cup qualifier against Benin. With Laryea Kingston absent through injury, Milovan Rajevac has a decision to make on who comes in on the right side of midfield and Rahim feels he is the man. “I think I have showed I can influence games from the right with my hard work, my crosses and my passes. I will work hard in training and see what the coach says,” he told KickOffGhana.com. Rahim is the fourth member of the Ayew family to be playing for the Black Stars after his father Abedi, uncle Kwame and junior brother Dede. And he says every time he walks into the Ghana team hotel, he still has to pinch himself to realise its true. “A year ago I was sitting in the hotel lobby waiting to see Dede when he came on national team duty. Sometimes I can’t believe I am here and part of the group.”
