Ghana and Auxerre left-back Gideon Mensah has tied the knot with his girlfriend, Vicentia, in a traditional marriage ceremony held in Accra on Friday, June 27, 2025.
The pair were seen exchanging vows in a widespread video on the internet before Mensah and his newly beloved kissed.
On-field, Mensah has been an integral cog for his club, Auxerre.
The defender made 29 Ligue 1 appearances in the 2024/25 season for the French club in their first season back from Ligue 2.
His overall contributions and performances saw Auxerre finish 11th in the French Ligue 1, amassing 42 points in the process.
Mensah was also part of the Black Stars squad that featured in May’s Unity Cup against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago, with the left back lasting the full throttle of both games.
In the off season, the 26-year-old has been in Ghana, where he participated in the All-Star Festival.
Mensah, who started his career at WAFA before playing for Salzburg, Bordeaux among others, will be hoping to help Auxerre push for a top end finish in the league next season.
