Ghanaian defender Kojo Peprah Oppong is on the brink of joining French Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice, following a reported agreement with Swedish side IFK Norrköping.
Swedish publication Expressen reports that the transfer is at an advanced stage, with the 21-year-old expected to travel to France to undergo a medical before completing the move.
Oppong has emerged as a standout performer in the Allsvenskan this season, making 23 appearances and establishing himself as a reliable presence in Norrköping’s defence.
His consistent performances have drawn attention from several clubs, with Nice now set to secure his services.
A product of the Attram De Visser Soccer Academy in Accra, Oppong’s move to one of Europe’s top five leagues marks a major leap in his career.
He is currently under contract with Norrköping until 2026.
Should the deal go through, Oppong will become the latest Ghanaian talent to break into Ligue 1, further highlighting the growing influence of Ghanaian players on the European stage.
