Ghana’s Abdul Aziz Yakubu scores in Wuhan Three Towns’ 3-1 win against Dalian Professional FC

Ghanaian forward Abdul-Aziz Yakubu was the star of the show as Wuhan Three Towns secured a remarkable away victory against Dalian Professional FC in the Chinese Super League showdown on Friday.

Yakubu’s started and lasted until the 76th minute at Dalian Suoyuwan Football Stadium, contributing to his team’s impressive 3-1 triumph.

From the very start, the visiting team asserted their dominance, maintaining substantial possession and unleashing a barrage of shots.

The scoring action kicked off in the 23rd minute when Abdul Aziz Yakubu confidently converted a penalty with a precise right-footed shot into the bottom left corner.

Just eight minutes later, Davidson of Wuhan Three Towns further solidified their lead, unleashing a left-footed shot from the center of the box into the bottom right corner.

Dalian Professional FC mounted a comeback effort in the 42nd minute, with César Manzoki finding the net with a header from the center of the box, courtesy of Borislav Tsonev’s well-placed cross.

Wuhan Three Towns firmly sealed their victory in the 71st minute when Park Ji-Soo successfully netted the ball, capitalizing on Yan Dinghao’s cross following a corner kick.

Despite a red card shown to Wuhan Three Towns’ Gao Zhunyi in the 84th minute, they managed to preserve their lead and secure maximum points.

Abdul Aziz Yakubu’s standout performance, his notable goal, and contributions from his teammates ensured a well-deserved 3-1 win for Wuhan Three Towns in what was a thrilling Chinese Super League encounter.
